NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF LEE TOWNSHIP, CALHOUN COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Commission of Lee Township will conduct a public hearing and meeting concerning the following matters on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lee Township Hall, 23045 21 Mile Road, Olivet, in the Township.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the item(s) to be considered at the public hearing include the following:

Zoning Ordinance text amendment to Article XVIII to add a new Section 1823 Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Such other and further business as may properly come before the Planning Commission at said hearing.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed zoning ordinance amendments can be reviewed at the office of the Township Clerk during regular business hours and will also be available at the hearing.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that written comments will be taken from any interested persons concerning the proposed text amendments at the office of the Township Clerk during regular business hours of regular business days or can be submitted in writing to the Lee Township Planning Commission, 23045 21 Mile Road, Olivet, MI 49076. All written comments will be entered into the public record and must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 2026. Written comments will further be received by the Planning Commission at the hearing.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Lee Township Planning Commission and Township Board reserve the right to make changes in the proposed zoning ordinance amendments at or following the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place.

Lee Township will provide reasonable services to individuals with disabilities at the hearing upon one week’s notice to the Township Clerk. Individuals requiring services should contact the Township Clerk at the address or telephone number listed below.
